The Venue: Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm
We are looking forward to being married at the Smith Barn in Peabody, MA, an historic barn adjacent to the modern Brooksby Farm, still in use. Built in 1903 by Joseph Smith, the barn was originally used to store apples harvested from the surrounding orchards as well as grain for the animals and farming implements. Today the barn is managed by the Peabody Historical Society.
The historic Smith Barn is situated on a picturesque hilltop surrounded by two hundred and fifty acres of orchards and conservation land. Rich in beauty and significance, the barn is home to several historic landmarks. Ample parking is available, and the first floor of the barn is wheelchair accessible. The Barn is located just 2 miles from Interstate 95 and Routes 1, 128, and 114. The exact address is: 38 Felton Street, Peabody, MA.

Accommodations
We have reserved a block of rooms with a special rate ($119 per night) at the Boston Marriott Peabody. You can click here to reserve your room online or call the hotel reservation number: (877) 901-2083 or (978) 977-9700 and ask for the Heller/Reiner wedding.
The hotel is located 2.6 miles from the Smith Barn where the wedding ceremony and celebration will take place. We will have transportation available from the hotel to the Barn.
The hotel is also 15 miles (about a half hour) from Boston's Logan International Airport (BOS) and 52 miles (about an hour) from Manchester Regional Airport (MHT). If you fly into Logan, and do not want to rent a car, there are commuter rail options to Salem, MA (about 4 miles from the hotel), or you could take the Logan Express Airport Shuttle Bus to Peabody, or you could take a taxi (about $70 each way).
NB: The hotel in this picture is where we met on our first date and NOT the hotel for the wedding!

"So, what is 'Cocktail Attire' anyways?"
The dress code for our wedding is "Cocktail Attire." Recognizing that this is a somewhat subjective phrase, we want to take a few moments to clarify.
For Men: We would like men to wear coats and ties. Blazers and sport coats are fine. Your high school letter jacket or favorite Pats coat is not what we have in mind. Pants are probably a good idea too.
For Women: Appropriate attire based upon the above description of what men should wear. You can check out a fun online resource for more advice and suggestions of appropriate attire for women.
Are pets allowed at the wedding?
Pancake (our Puggle) will only be attending the wedding in spirit--Brooksby Farm is an "active" Farm and pets are not allowed. Pancake will be brought by to congratulate/sniff/lick David and Ashley and take a few pictures. We expect that Pancake will spend the rest of the day playing with one of her many toys, sleeping in one of her seven (!) beds, or snuggling with her favorite "Reinoceros" (see photo). And we just wanted an excuse to share another great Pancake picture! Isn't she cute?!
